We went to mountains to taking some photos of partial lunar eclipse of 17 Aug. After a while we found that many people came to us to watch eclipse. That was so interesting. They made a beautiful scene of movements in eclipse time from my view from down of hill. Canon EOS 40D

The weather for the lunar eclipse was misty and cloudy, difficult to photograph. The symmetry with the recent solar eclipse struck me, the solar eclipse ending at sunset and the lunar eclipse rising already partially eclipsed at sunset, so I decided to do a composite of my photos from China and the Netherlands.

The half-red Moon was quite low in the sky. It looked very beautiful and mysterious above the raised mist. Photo details: Canon EOS 350D camera, Celestron 4GT telescope, stack of five 15 s. frames.
