This picture was taken from top of a hill (2600ft) near Chena Hot Springs, Fairbanks AK on March 3rd 2009 at 1.49 AM Alaska Time. It was -20 degrees outside--without wind! The first picture was the last one I took before leaving the site. The Northern Lights were getting stronger at that time. The second picture was taken at the time of the Northern Lights' first appearance.
