a large prominence was visible on the northeast solar limb today. it showed little movement while i observed over several hours, but it is spectacular none the less! these images were captured with a takahashi 102 refractor, a lunt double stacked 75mm hydrogen alpha filter, and a dmk ccd. the prominence was imaged at 2010 UT, and AR 1093 was imaged at 2121 UT, both on 6 aug 2010.
