the clouds cleared out and i had a chance to view the sun. these images were captured between 2200-2300 UT. i combined a calcium k line images that shows detail in the lower chromosphere, with a hydrogen alpha image that shows structure in the upper chromosphere, see this link http://mbucky.files.wordpress.com/2010/06/ar1028-19-june-2010a.gif the solar disc exhibited 2 active areas, and a large prom. they were splendid to behold in the eyepiece. all imagesd made with a takahashi tsa 102, a lunt CaK diagonal, and a double stacked lunt 75mm hydrogen alpha filter. thanks for looking!
