What a show! Flying at 39,000 feet over central Australia this morning on route from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to my home in Melbourne, I was fascinated to watch the planets rise in turn into the clean outback skies to continue with their great show. Jupiter first then Mercury followed by Venus about 60 seconds later. As the planets rose higher to greet the dawn they appeared jewel-like adorning the dark skies above the magnificent reds and blues of the brightening twilight sky. The most beautiful colours! Hand held Canon 40D with 24-70mm lens at 24mm, f/2.8.
