A wonderful sunny day in the Netherlands, so I sketched the currently emerging active region 1176, which appears to be the remains of AR1165. It's very active with some small but bright proms and and a nice filament. I made this sketch using red pastel on black paper through my 60mm h-alpha telescope between 12.15 and 12.45 UT.
