Conjunction of the biggest and smallest planet in the solar system. Jupiter is to the upper left of the picture and Mercury to the lower right, this is only the second time I have seen Mercury form the shores of the UK. Picture was taken with a Canon 350D with a 18-55mm zoom lens set at 55mm, ISO speed was 400 with a one second exposure.
