We had a bright pass of the Nanosail-D here this evening. At the early stage passing M31 it was much brighter - an easy naked eye object, perhaps mag 3, but by the time it got to M45 I had almost lost track of it - certainly below mag 4. Both images taken with Sony A700 DSLR with 50mm f1.7 lens at f2.5, 10 secs, ISO 1600
