Comet Hartley 2 imaged in the early morning hours of October 30th, 2010. The moon was out and relatively bright, but Hartley was still bright enough to show up in short exposures. I took 42x90 sec and 12x240 sec sub-images all at ISO 1600 and combined them to make this composite image. An 85mm Televue TV-85 APO refractor with 0.8x focal reducer/field flattener, an IDAS-LPS filter and a Hutech modified Canon XS carried on an Atlas EQ-G w/EQMOD mount was the equipment used.
