Hi Tony I did a watch last night for early Perseid meteor activity since we had our first spectacular clear night in two weeks. Between 00.00 and 03.00 BST I observed 29 Perseids which was quite impressive considering the distance from the peak night, this must bode well for a fine show on the 12/13th. I caught one Perseid on camera with multiple colours with planet Jupiter in the same frame. Pillars and spikes can be seen around the planet due to the high moisture content.
