I went out to watch the sunset, and wait for the "Supermoon" to rise. I set up to photograph the sunset, and was very lucky to catch a green flash during sunset. I swung my equipment around and got ready for Moonrise. My Nikon D3 was set to manual, RAW mode shooting through my William Optic FLT 132. As the Moon rose, I could see a layer of the atmosphere was shimmering green through the viewfinder, and when I zoomed in there it was, a green flash around the moon!
