The clouds were visible in the north to north-east during the early hours of the morning; not as bright as previous displays I've witnessed but their characteristic patterns could be clearly distinguished, even as the sky lightened with the approaching dawn. This is a crop from a single shot taken with a Nikon D700 and Nikon 28-70 f/2.8 lens (6 sec @ f/4, ISO 400, f = 70mm)
