In the beginning of june 2010, the bright planets Mars and Saturn visited the constellation of Leo maioris. Just next to Regulus, our red neighbour gives a colourful contrast to the bright blueish star. At the other side of Leo, the lord of the rings takes place. Both planets visible to a single field of eye view. I took this photo of this lovely scene in the dusk of 5th June 2010. I used a Canon 1D Mark IV and a EF 24 mm f/1.4 lens. Exposure time was 30 seconds at an iso speed of 800 and f/5.6.
