I was not excepting this kind of spectacular show when I went to check that I had locked my car doors, I have never seen such strong auroras at this latitude, there was lot of movement and colours, with my poor skills I did my best to capture some of them even my tripod decided to fail me at important time like this, so I did sunk camera into snow, which acted as instant tripod. Auroras were very bright when at maximum strength, also very lively, some of them were 'running' across the sky. Photo is taken with Nikon D40, 18-55mm Nikkor DX lens @ 18mm, exposure 10 seconds, ISO1600.
