We were at the south shore of Lake Simcoe, Ontario. I can see the green casting with my naked eyes. Suddenly, we saw a column of brighter white lights... so I pressed on the shutter to capture what is happening... and it turns out to be the red cast that we can't see with our naked eyes. This was shot with a wide angle to capture the Big Dipper as well, as part of the composition. Nikon D700; AF 20-35mm f/2.8 @ 35mm; ISO 800; f/2.8; 30 sec
