I was photographing a small aurora on the horizon, taking advantage of the clear skies since the forecast called for snow. Then out of absolutely nowhere, a little ray started forming above my head. Then bam! It shot out two very bright arcs that circled me. I was so excited I didn't know where to aim my camera first. I was thoroughly impressed, the aurora is such an amazing phenomenon. 5 Second exposures, 1600 ISO, f/3.5. Absolutely no editing has been done to these shots, they're directly from my camera.
