Dr Phillips, I pursued this evening's sunset in consideration of the billows of smoke which are drifting across Europe and what caught my attention is the fact that two of my German shepherds had their nose pointed at a 45-degree angle and sniffing the air. The attached photo of the sunset is quite impressive as is the photo from earlier this week involving a distant summer home. It will be interesting to see how this eruption develops, for many flights across Europe have been cancelled since volcanic ash is able to shut down airplane engines.
