Dr Phillips, What a shame that such a bright and large comet is only available so low in the sky and only for less than an hour before the onset of astro twilight. I have attached a result from this morning with C/2009 R1 McNaught being a mere 12 to 19 degrees above the horizon during the imaging session. The comet is very bright and sports a most impressive tail. We have another three weeks before it is lost in the sun's glare. Further details in relation to this image available at http://www.perseus.gr/Astro-Comets-2009-R1-McNaught-20100609.htm . Best wishes from Greece. Anthony.
