Last night it was touch and go on clouds in the Southbay area here in Southern CA. But alas, it did clear about 7:30PM PDT and I was able to see the pair of planets from the front yard of my house. They were hanging in the western sky less than 10 degrees above the horizon. So I quickly set up my Canon T1i in manual mode (ASA 1600, exposure 2 secs) and shot this image at 200mm f/5.6. Despite a tree in my line of sight, I was able to image the duo! I was surprised to see three of Jupiter's four brightest moons in the image when I looked at it on my computer screen! Made for an extra treat! :-)
