Summary: Solar activity continues to increase after a two-year solar minimum that ranks among the century's deepest. The return of sunspots and a resurgent solar wind is good news for aurora watchers, who are seeing some of the best displays since ~2006. See also August 2010.

Cancelled storm or not - the auroras over Norway were bright enough to challange the almost full Moon tonight with broad wide bands stretching all over the sky.

The last weeks has been very cloudy in the north of Norway. So when the clouds cracks up, there's a rush of Aurora photographers on the roads...Spaceweather's forecast for Aurora wasn't quite precis in the Tromsø area. However, I got some shots.
