The latest two days has been filled with lots of bright auroras. This images was taken last night at Kvaløya island, outside Tromsø, Norway. In the great conditions last night, there were lots of people out catching the magic light. Canon EOS 7D, Tokina 11-16, f/2.8, ISO 800-1250. Some of the pictures was with shutter speed as low as 1.6 seconds and AV f/3.2

A classic start with a faint band in the north who ended in several spectacular waves with extreme high speed rays, sharp lines and band. Just amazing Canon EOS 5D mkII, EF24mm/f1.4 . ISO 800, f1.6, 0,8 - 5 sec

For the third day in a row now, spaceweather`s aurora forecast has been correct and just looking out the window is a true pleasure! While hunting for auroras I also got a stray meteor up my sleeve for the first time - it always pays off to be outside in the dark (well.. green). Nikon D3, AF-S Nikkor 14-24mm f/2.8, various settings.

Thanks for your forecast for northern light! Thanks to that we went up to a scenic place next to Abisko and had some nice northern light almost the entire evening. During c. 2 minutes the entire sky opened up like a beautiful inferno. Red, blue and green like a dancing queen on the sky. Best wishes, Peter Rosén, Abisko, Swedish Lapland www.rosenmedia.se
